How to get there from Rolla
The closest place to get out into nature! Just 11 miles from town - can't beat that.
I can't count how many times we went, for playing by (and in) the creek in summer -
the water is cold because Little Piney is spring fed - and hiking the two short trails.
Nice view from Cedar Bluff. Blossom Rock is a sandstone crag, lots of fun scrambling.
There are also a playground, picnic tables, and a campground.
The $2 day use fee is well worth it.
The area is closed in the winter, you have to park by the gate.
